The cottages are within walking distance of Kilmore village and are close to local beaches, pubs and restaurants. The cottages have a local information pack with brochures and maps and we live across the road from the cottage and are on hand if you have any queries during your stay. We are ideal for gatherings or friends or family, being able to accommodate 16 people between all three cottages. We are within easy walking distance of Kilmore village, (less than 5 minutes walk), where there are two pubs, one of which serves local seafood and other local produce. There is also a chemist and a post office / general grocery store / newsagents. Kilmore Quay, ( about a 5 minute drive / less than 5km away ) is a good spot for a walk, to shop for arts and crafts, fresh fish caught in local waters, excellent meat locally produced  or to enjoy good food in one of the sea food restaurants or pubs. The working fishing harbour, marina and thatched cottages make it a great spot for an amble. There are two piers to explore, and by the sea is an excellent playground and memorial garden. It is possible to charter a boat from Kilmore Quay to go fishing or to take a trip around the nearby Saltee Islands, which have extensive bird colonies. The nearest beach is only two kilometres away and there are many other beaches locally. We are happy to help guests find activities and attractions that suit their particular needs and interests. We can recommend or book a restaurant for example, or recommend health spa treatments, golf, castles, gardens, bowling alley, play - zones, cinema, swimming pool and more to visit. The south east has a lot of activities and attractions to offer, as well as the most sunshine in Ireland!
