County Kilkenny is situated in the south-east corner of the beautiful island of Ireland, and its name is derived from its main city, the City of Kilkenny. The land is mildly hilly. It is divided in half by the River Nore, with other rivers running through the county including the Rivers Barrow and Suir. The climate in this area of Ireland is considered mild and changeable. Approximately 22,000 people reside in this county, and the tourist industry is an important part of the economy of the area.

Sites to See When at Your Holiday Home

Each year, the Kilkenny Cat Laughs, a comedy festival, is held, along with several musical concerts.
