The Welcome Lodge is a beautifully restored gate lodge to period residence in a tranquil parkland setting on the Tipperary/Kilkenny border. Charming spacious accommodation, furnished and equipped to a very high standard with stylish beamed open plan sitting room with wood burning stove and dining and kitchen area. Two bedrooms (both with TV), one with a 5' double and en-suite shower. The other with two single beds and wet room adjacent. Wheelchair access with disabled facilities.

Welcome pack with home baking will greet you on arrival.

Enclosed garden, patio, bbq, garden shed. Ideal base for touring, golfing, equestrian, racegoers.

Area activities

Medieval city of Kilkenny with an abundance of historic site including Kilkenny Castle, crafts and cultural attractions. Renowned Mount Juliet and Callan 18hole golf courses and numerous others, 1848 Famine Warhouse, James Hoban Memorial Arbor, the fairytale Rock of Cashel are all within easy reach. Fishing on the river Nore and Kings river. The famous Coolmore Stud 30 min drive.

From Kilkenny take the N76 towards Callan for 9km. Take a right turn onto the R691 signposted Cashel for another 9km until you reach the sign 'Welcome to County Tipperary'. The Welcome Lodge is immediately on your left.

Dublin Cork and Shannon within 2 hour drive. Waterford 1 hour

Other transport

Bus Eireann runs daily from Dublin to Cork stopping in Callan. J.J. Kavanagh & Sons Bus runs from Dublin Airport to Callan daily and vice versa.
