Visitors can enjoy the glorious Dingle Peninsula, the scenic Ring of Kerry, Killarney with its lakes and mountains, Tralee for the Rose of Tralee festival and the unspoilt beaches of North Kerry.
Tralee Town offers visitors a pleasing mix of history, shopping and leisure. There is always plenty to do during daylight hours, while at night Tralee comes alive with its many restaurants and pubs providing a vibrant atmosphere in the town.Among the many attractions that Tralee has to offer are Tralee Town Park, Tralee Greyhound Stadium, an omniplex cinema, Gym & sports facilities, The Aqua Dome, Síamsa Tíre Theatre, and great shopping facilities including Manor Shopping Centre. Toby World is a new fun facility for children. The town is a major tourist attraction and with the many beautiful beaches and championship golf courses close by, horse riding, pony trekking, hill walking readily available,along with the Rose of Tralee festival each August, there is something in Tralee for everyone.Tralee has a championship golf course designed by Arnold Palmer. It was selected as the Irish Golf Tour Operators Association Golf Course of the year 2007. There are beautiful beaches at Banna, Ballyheigue and Castlegregory. Excellent facillities for watersports - sailing, surfing, canoeing, fishing are readily available within a few miles. The Gul Topper Sailing Dinghy World Championships were held in Fenit in July 2008. Beaches at Banna,Ballyheigue and Castlegregory, sailing at Fenit, golf at Tralee are all easily accessible via the new bypass road close to Coisceim Village. Driving directionsDriving Directions On the outskirts of Tralee,you will arrive at the John Cronin Roundabout. This is at the junction of the Killarney and Castleisland roads , follow the signs for Tralee. On your left is the Earl of Desmond Hotel, drive straight on to the next roundabout at Manor West, straight through again, McDonalds on your left,straight through next roundabout, Toyota Garage on left then straight through next small roundabout, Advance Pitstop and Maxol on right. At the next roundabout keep in the right hand lane and take the last exit out of the roundabout. You will see large brown road signs indicating Kerry Technology Park as you take that exit. Following this sign will bring you easily to Coisceim. Drive straight on this road passing over a small railway bridge. Drive straight for 1 mile approx. passing Clash Industrial Estate, The Kerryman and Tralee Business Park all on your right until you reach a roundabout. Drive straight through following the Kerry Technology sign. Just after this roundabout take the first road to the left, pass by the Furniture and Fabric centre on your left, shortly after this take the first road to your right , right arrow on road and Kerry Technology sign. Pass 3 private houses on your left, then follow the stone wall on the left. The first entrance is Kerry Technology, second entrance is Coisceim.
