The cottage is a newly renovated comfortable modern semi detached Irish cottage situated in a rural setting of 1.5 hectares, yet on the outskirts of the town of Tralee in Co. Kerry. This unique cottage is adjoining the owners residence with its own private entrance.

The cottage is Failte Ireland 4 star approved consisting of a fully fitted kitchen, cosy living room and 3 bedrooms, outside is a mature garden with patio area for guests to enjoy. Baileys Irish Cottage is ideal for families or couples. Babysitting and meals are available on request these extra services are provided to ensure you have the most relaxing and enjoying stay possible.

Baileys Irish Cottage is a charming 3 bedroomed property. All bedrooms are furnished to a very high standard to ensure guests have a relaxing and confortable stay. Rooms feel luxurious and inviting.

Bailieys Irish Cottage has an open plan layout, with a fully fitted kitchen and livingroom and has a very pleasant ambience

The kitchen and dining area have all modern facilities:

Maureen the owner always welcomes her guests with a glass of the now famous “Baileys Irish Cream” and for the kiddies and sometimes the grown up's, Cookies and Cadburys Irish Chocolates.

Garden & Patio Area

Outside are mature gardens with a very pleasant patio area. Garden furniture has a rural and old world feel. Baileys Irish Cottage has an urban setting with a rural heart.

Located in Tralee suburbs you are only a short drive from the Tralee Aqua Dome perfect for a family day out. Tralee and Baileys are ideally situated for touring Kerry’s renowned spectacular scenery and miles of unspoilt safe beaches. You are within a half an hour’s drive of Killarney and the Dingle Peninsula. Activities such as fishing, horse riding, golf and mountain climbing can be found close by.

Photos courtesy Fáilte Ireland Nature has blessed Kerry with a wonderful variety of beaches.? The vast expanses of Banna to the north and Derrymore to the west are hugely poplar.? All these beaches have blue flags for there safety and cleanliness.? They are all just a short drive from Tralee.

Golf

Photos courtesy Fáilte Ireland The Southwest of Ireland is particularly blessed with an abundance of wonderful courses.? The Arnold Palmer designed Tralee Golf Course, a championship course in a splendid setting, is an 18 Hole course at Barrow just outside Tralee and is the best known course.


Festivals

Tralee is home to the world famous “Rose of Tralee International Festival” held in mid August and expanding number of weekend festivals “Samhlaiocht Chiarrai”, Easter Arts Festival and Kerry Film Festival in October.

Fishing


Photos courtesy Fáilte Ireland Few things are more satisfying than fishing.? The sea is open to every one while rivers are managed by clubs who provide permits at a reasonable rate.? The Feale River and its tributary the Smearla are good salmon and sea trout rivers.

Walking

The North Kerry Way stretches from Tralee Town to Kerry Head with many small villages along this very attractive scenic coastline.? A total of 12 additional short walks are also mapped out.

The Dingle Way.? A circular walking route of 153 km that starts and ends in Tralee.? It traverses mountain passes, old bog roads, sandy beaches and green roads offering magnificent views of the Blasket Islands, Slea Head and Dun Chaoin

From Dublin

Take the N7 out of Dublin (signposted The South) all the way to Limerick

From Limerick

At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the N20 (signposted Cork) Continue forward onto the N21 (signposted Tralee) At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the N21 Follow the N21 all the way to Castleisland

From Castleisland

Bear right onto the N23 Turn left onto Tralee Road - N21 (signposted Tralee). At Ballymacthomas Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the N21 (signposted Tralee) Continue forward on the N21 entering Tralee.

From Cork

Take the N22 (signposted Killarney) all the way to Killarney

From Killarney

At Park Road Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the N22 (signposted Tralee). Straight through next mini rounabout. At Cleeny Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the N22 (signposted Tralee, Limerick N21) Continue forward onto the N22 (signposted Tralee) At Ballymacthomas Roundabout take the 1st exit onto the N21 (signposted Tralee) Continue forward on the N21 entering Tralee.

On Entering Tralee

Once you reach Tralee you will need to negoiate a series of roundabouts. You will exit at the 5th roundabout located next to the Aqua Dome.

  • 1st Roundabout - straight through
  • 2nd Roundabout - 1st Exit
  • 3rd Roundabout - straight through
  • 4th Roundabout - straight through
  • 5th Roundabout - 1st Exit

Straight up the hill past the Aqua Dome, then take first turning on the right (signpost Killtealy House) down the lane (cul de sac). At the end of lane drive through the gates and we are last house on right.

Kerry airport is 9 miles from Tralee

Cork airport is 75 miles

Shannon is 75 miles

Other transport

Tralee is accessible from Dublin, Limerick and Cork by train and from all the larger towns by coach. Contact Iarnrod Eireann and Bus Eireann.

Policies & disclaimers

1. Electricity and oil used for heating and light is an extra charge payable by the client before departure. The charge is based on the individual meter reading and it the cost per unit will be given at the outset. 2. The cottage must be left as it is found and the cost of repairs to or the replacement of property will be the responsibility of the client. 3. A security deposit of €50 per week of rental must be given on arrival. This will be returned provided we are satisfied that the terms and conditions of rental have been complied with. Clients are expected to leave the cottage clean and tidy otherwise a charge of €20 will be made. 4. Rental of cottage may be terminated with no refund at the discretion of the Owner if clients/occupiers behave in a disruptive manner, cause a nuisance or disturbance, cause damage to the property or in any other circumstance deemed reasonable by us. 5. On the expiry or termination of rental we may remove all belongings of the client/occupiers of the cottage left in the cottage and store or otherwise deal with the same as deemed appropriate. Notwithstanding the aforesaid the sole risk in respect of such belongings shall at all times remain with the client/occupiers. 6. Possession of cottage must be taken between 16.00hrs and 18.00hrs and the cottage vacated by 10.00am on day of departure. It is recommended that clients telephone us 24 hours in advance to confirm exact time of arrival. 7. We are not responsible for any loss of valuables or property left in the cottage during the stay or on departure. 8. We may at all reasonable times visit the cottage. 9. The number of persons stated on the reservation form may not be exceeded in any circumstance. 10. Dogs are not allowed in the cottage except with the express permission from us. 11. In the event of a complaint this must be made known to us immediately so that the complaint can be satisfactorily dealt with at the time. 12. In the event that a client has a special requirement relating to a booking, this must be specified in writing to us at the time of booking. Not withstanding this we do not guarantee such requirement will be facilitated.
